By accessing or using nobakaya (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

nobakaya is a free web-based group expense tracking and bill splitting application. The Service allows users to create groups, log shared expenses, calculate fair splits, and view settlement suggestions.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service's security
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without permission

5. Financial Disclaimer

nobakaya is an expense tracking tool, not a financial institution. We do not process payments, hold funds, or provide financial advice. Settlements between group members are handled directly between those members outside the Service.

6. Accuracy of Information

nobakaya provides expense calculations based on data entered by users. We are not responsible for inaccuracies caused by incorrect data entry. Users should verify settlement amounts before making payments.

7. Availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues may cause temporary unavailability.

8. Intellectual Property

The nobakaya name, logo, and Service design are our intellectual property. User-generated content (expense data, group names, etc.) remains the property of the users.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

nobakaya is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to financial disputes between users.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
